Linnea Fjeldstad
Lead Pronunciation Specialist
I moved to Taipei in 2016 after teaching linguistics in Oslo. What surprised me most? How many advanced English speakers here had never received proper pronunciation training. Grammar? Perfect. Vocabulary? Impressive. But spoken clarity? That's where I saw the biggest opportunity to help. I've spent the past nine years figuring out which aspects of English pronunciation actually matter for non-native speakers working in international environments—and which are just perfectionist noise. My background in phonetics helps, but honestly, most of what I know comes from watching hundreds of students finally be understood without having to repeat themselves.
