Clear guidelines for course refunds and transfers at PortalHubNetwork

Our Commitment to Transparency

We want you to feel confident when enrolling with us. That's why we've created straightforward refund guidelines that respect both your investment and our educational commitment.

This policy applies to all pronunciation courses offered at our Kaohsiung location starting from January 2025. We've tried to cover most situations you might encounter, but if something feels unclear, just reach out.

When You Can Request a Full Refund

Life happens. We get it. Here's when you can receive a complete refund of your course fees:

  • You withdraw before the course start date (at least 7 days prior)
  • We cancel the course due to insufficient enrollment or instructor availability
  • You experience a documented medical emergency that prevents attendance
  • The course content differs substantially from what was advertised

Processing typically takes 10-14 business days from approval. We'll return funds through your original payment method whenever possible.

Early Withdrawal

Cancel 7+ days before start: 100% refund minus administrative fee of NT$500

Course Cancellation

If we cancel: full refund including all fees, no questions asked

Medical Emergency

With documentation: full refund or option to transfer to future session

Content Mismatch

Report within first 2 sessions: full refund after review

Partial Refund Situations

Sometimes circumstances change after a course begins. We've structured partial refunds based on how much content you've already accessed:

  • After 1st session: 75% refund of remaining course value
  • After 2nd session: 50% refund of remaining course value
  • After 3rd session: 25% refund of remaining course value
  • After 4th session or beyond: no refund available

Think of it this way — once you've participated in a third of the course, you've gained access to teaching materials, instructor time, and classroom resources that we can't really "take back."

How the Refund Process Actually Works

Submit Your Request

Email help@portalhubnetwork.com with your enrollment details and reason for refund. Include any supporting documents if applicable.

We Review Within 3 Business Days

Our team examines your request against policy guidelines. We might contact you if we need clarification or additional information.

Decision and Notification

You'll receive an email with our decision and the refund amount calculation. If approved, we initiate processing immediately.

Funds Return

Bank transfers appear in 5-7 business days. Credit card refunds may take 7-14 days depending on your card issuer's processing time.

Course Transfers as an Alternative

If timing is the issue rather than the course itself, you can transfer your enrollment to a future session without penalty. Just let us know at least 5 days before your current course starts.

Payment Method Considerations

Different payment methods have different processing timelines:

Bank Transfer

Fastest option. Refunds appear within 5-7 business days after approval.

Credit Card

Takes 7-14 business days. Timeline depends on your card issuer's policies.

Cash Payment

Bank transfer refund issued. Requires valid bank account information.

Special Circumstances

We recognize that not every situation fits neatly into standard categories. Here's how we handle less common scenarios:

  • Relocation outside Kaohsiung area: transfer to online format if available, or full refund
  • Serious family emergency: case-by-case review with documentation, typically approved
  • Technical issues preventing online access: we'll work to resolve or offer full refund
  • Schedule conflicts due to employment changes: one-time transfer allowed

Basically, if something unexpected happens that genuinely prevents you from continuing, talk to us. We're not trying to trap anyone into something that doesn't work for their life situation.

What's Not Covered

To be completely upfront, there are some situations where refunds don't apply:

  • You simply change your mind after the 4th session
  • You don't attend but never formally withdraw
  • You violate our code of conduct and we ask you to leave
  • You fail to meet course prerequisites we clearly outlined during enrollment

These boundaries exist so we can maintain course quality and fairness for all students.

Important Notes

This policy was last updated in January 2025 and applies to all courses beginning after that date. We occasionally adjust our policies based on student feedback and operational experience.

Promotional discounts and special offers may have modified refund terms, which will be clearly stated at the time of enrollment. When in doubt, ask before you enroll.
